Hosting 101 at Great Company

You’ve said “we should get together” a hundred times. This is the class where you actually do it.

Hosting isn’t about a perfect house, matching napkins, or a fancy menu. It’s about opening the door and making people feel glad they came. Over one relaxed evening around our table, we’ll walk through the whole arc of having people over: who to invite and how to ask, how to set up so you’re not stuck in the kitchen, and what to do in those first awkward ten minutes when everyone arrives.

Then we’ll make dinner without turning on a stove. In small groups, you’ll build a generous spread. Think bread, cheese, tinned fish, pickles, something sweet. You’ll learn how much to buy, how to make a board look abundant, and how to make an evening come together with ease. Then we’ll all sit down and eat what we made.

Before you leave, you’ll pick a date and send a real invitation. Yes, really. We’ll help you write it.

You’ll go home with a one-page hosting plan, a shopping list you can use every time, and a few new faces you might want to invite. Food, drinks, and all materials included. Bring a friend with the pair ticket. No experience, big kitchen, or cooking skills required.

What: Just Have People Over is one hands-on evening class. Guests learn the whole arc of hosting, build a no-cook spread in small groups, eat it together, and send a real invitation before they leave.
Cost: $75 single ticket, $140 for two tickets
