Meet and Greet with local emerging author, poet and wellness educator Elizabeth Denison featuring her profoundly moving new memoir – Shawnan Spirit Speaks: LOVE Is the Forever Adventure.

Drop by our Santa Rosa store on Friday, October 23 from 12:00-2:00pm to meet the author and have your book signed!

Elizabeth Denison discovers there is no shortcut to peace when, at a tender age, her son, Shawnan, loses his battle with depression and ends his life. What might have been an all-too-ordinary tragedy becomes an extraordinary modern-day monomyth, as the abiding love between mother and son bridges the gap between worlds.

During the tortuous months following her son’s death, Elizabeth is lovingly guided in conversations with Shawnan Spirit on a courageous journey of deep transformation. Not only does Spirit offer broader perspectives to assuage her grief and shed light on her son’s soul journey, but also assists in deeper healing, freeing her from the bonds of her childhood trauma and patterns that have spanned generations.

Shawnan Spirit Speaks is a real-life account of emotional resilience. After much suffering, Elizabeth Denison is graced with the peace of acceptance and the invitation to step back into life with purpose and joy.

Elizabeth’s story is for anyone who walks with grief and love in their heart, for all who are in need of hope and renewal in their lives, and for those who are open to the possibility that every day can be a new beginning.
