DESCRIPTION:Advance registration required \nSaturday\, August 22 | 11:00am–1pm \nJoin us at Made Local Marketplace in Montgomery Village for a hands-on workshop led by local artist Katharine Cameron. \nWax & Collage Mixed Media Art \nDiscover the beauty of encaustic art in this fun\, beginner-friendly workshop! Using layers of collage\, vibrant papers\, and warm beeswax medium\, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind mixed media artwork full of depth\, texture\, and color. \nNo artistic experience is necessary. Katharine will guide you through each step of the process while introducing you to the unique encaustic technique in an approachable and creative way. \nIn this workshop\, you will: \n• Learn the basics of encaustic (wax) collage techniques \n• Layer papers\, textures\, and wax to create a unique mixed media artwork \n• Leave with a finished piece ready to display \nAll materials and instruction are provided. \nDetails: \n• $75 per person \n• Max 6 participants \n• Duration: 2 hours plus \nImportant Notes: \n• Advance registration required \n• Workshops require a minimum of 4 participants \n• 72 hours notice required for a partial refund \n• Workshops are held outdoors\, under cover\, at Made Local Marketplace in Montgomery Village
